There are distinctly Celtic overtones in the Belem's 2007 sailing programme ! The season is mainly an Atlantic one, with a whole month's voyage around Ireland and a lot of sailing along the Brittany coast and stopping in a string of Brittany ports and harbours. All in all, 24 training courses from April to October. At the hub of the season, the Emerald Isle awaits : the Belem will leave Cherbourg on July the 20th for Dublin, from there sail straight for Glasgow, then back to Ireland along the Northern Coast to Galway then to Cork before turning back towards Brest, reaching it on August 23rd.
For those who find Brittany more exotically Celtic than Ireland, there are all sorts of exciting opportunities of sailing into the waters of Roscoff, Lorient, Concarneau or St Malo aboard a majestic three masted barque.

November came as a very busy time for the Belem Foundation, one of the exhibitors at the Paris Nautical Exhibition from November 1st to 11th. The Belem stand was a great success with many of the thousands of visitors who were all attracted and delighted by the decor : a set of massive and very beautiful photographs of the ship that were a real incitement to discovering life on board and on the ocean wave. A lot of interest in the 2007 sailing programme but also in the ship herself : the Belem is quite obviously becoming very familiar and popular with a growing part of the French public who are taking her to their hearts with affection and pride.
