- Believe it or not, the Belem's major voyage of the year – the transatlantic crossing to and from Quebec – is practically all booked up already! Only a few bookings remain for the first stage of the journey, an eleven day trip from Bordeaux to Madeira, starting May 11th ; an opportunity not to be missed, so this is not the time to dawdle – put your oar in, in fact your name down, before it's too late!
- There are however dozens of other opportunities to seize if you wish to do some serious sailing aboard the Belem this season. You can choose between a number of training trips along the Atlantic coast of France – with a few incursions into British waters and some sailing around the Channel Islands – starting on March 22nd at Saint Nazaire up until May 9th in La Pallice near La Rochelle. On the Belem's return from Quebec, she will leave the Atlantic for the Mediterranean, sailing along the French coast by instalments on her way to Corsica. There, after three days in Ajaccio, the Belem will sail round the island and head for Nice by way of the Straits of Bonifacio, passing between the southernmost end of Corsica and the northernmost tip of Sardinia.
